"This is a game project worked on by a small team. This is also our very first project we work on when we are free. A few of us are still in University. Our project leader is a nice fellow with industry experience. 

Current objective is to find a freelance artist. The milestone to be achieved is to start designing the small cast of main characters in the game.

The only preference regarding the art-style is for it to have an Asian flavor - such as Japanese/Korean RPGs. However, I am instructed to look for quality, creativity and awesomeness (add good looking to that) in the character designs! 

Your portfolio will be best representative of your art-style so I'll be browsing through them and showing them to the team as well. If you think your art-style is very flexible, then please let me know too. But I'll mainly be looking at your gallery or your linked sample art to make a judgement. 

Good and prompt communication skills are a must since most of the communications will be done via email.

Each character design set will be allocated a budget around $500(USD; PayPal). More details, including changes, can be discussed in private."

Seeking Experienced Illustrator, Pays $150 per Card

"Hi!

My name is Steve Lykowski and I'm a freelance game designer. My first game, Nova Cry, is in mid-production (http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/109456/nova-cry) and I'm looking for an experienced illustrator for my second card game project, ERA, a 2-player history strategy card game. 

The project is very large and will require some 100+ illustrations (standard card illus size--1.5"x2"). Each card will pay $150, and slightly less if you are brought on for the bulk of the project. I have an illustrator currently working on the project, but the load is quite large for one illustrator to tackle and we certainly have room for one more. If we like your work, you could be brought on for as many as 50 illustrations.

The requirements for this position are:

1) Experience as an illustrator for Fantasy Flight or Wizards of the Coast. Please do not apply without this specific experience. These two companies represent the quality and polish of the art we are looking for in ERA.

2) A strong sense of narrative. The game will include many historical figures and events (such as JFK, Napoleon, Edison, etc), and it's important that we do not represent these figures in the same old "portrait" style as is custom. We need our illustrator to create a context and story in each picture that will bring these figures to life with dramatic poses and cinematic angles. This "narrative brainstorming" for each card will be an important and expected part of the project. 

3) A willingness to provide a high amount of polish and detail for each 1.5"x2" illustrations. Some illustration may also include a large amount of figures, so experience in knowing what details to prioritize and disregard will be important. The cards from the Call of Cthulu LCG by Fantasy Flight would be a good estimate of the amount of detail that will be required for the illustrations.

We are currently seeking a Talented Penciler to work on our upcoming 4 Issue Mini-Series. There will be 24 Pages per issue and pays between $1500 to $2400 PER ISSUE depending on your experience and deadline schedule!

You will need to Complete at least 3 or 4 pages a week (INCLUDING EDITS) MINIMUM!

You will need to be able to draw a vast array of subject matter as the title deals with everything from Aliens to Zombies,dragons and Barbarians.

The Title will have a very different look to it as it will be done with grey tones and colored highlights. Most of this is done by the colorist whom is also the writer and has been published many times. 
As to styles,... Though we will look at everyones work we are mainly looking for more Conan style art. 
Sorry but Manga will NEVER WORK for this title so the cartoon style is totally out of consideration.
I have included a few Images of the Character designs and title look below. Most of the detail is done by the colorist. So he is mainly a naked body. The tats and blood are done purely in color.
